ILR under legacy case

Hi Everyone,

just wondering if anyone who had their IRL under legacy case have sent in for naturalisation this year and recieved it yet?

Yes we did but we have been told that we need to wait for 5 years before we can apply for citizenship.
Arrived UK in Dec 2000, Received ILR Oct 2008, Citizenship Approved March 2016.

really, my solicitor told me that i could apply after 12 months with IRL. i was abit confused with the new stress that they bring in but spoke to another solicitor couple days ago and he said that once you got the IRL lawfully or unlawfully i am entitle to apply.

who told you, you had to wait 5 yrs?

HO want to change the rule in july 2011 and they applying the rules now, which is wrong.
