Applying for dependent visa. Need Urgent Help

Post by sunil_dhingra7 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 2:26 pm

Hi,
Thanks for all member who give me valueable suggestion for my tier1 and i got tier 1 in Feb 2009.

Now a days i am in UK from july 2009, i came here from my company on my tier 1 visa. The company give me allowance here and some part of indian salary in indian bank account.

Here i am in london on client side, and here the assignment will be upto september 2009 end.

I am staying in Guest house and i want to apply for my dependents(wife and son). My son in one and half year old.

What proof do i need to show the accomodation.?

Here i dont have any accomodation on rent and i can not take property here on rent, as my assignment here is till september end. and then i may be shifted to birmingham or northampton, i dont know about my next assignment location.

The documents i can show for accomodation:
1) One double room booking letter for wife and son in the guesthouse where i am living.
2) letter from my company that i am working in this company from .... years and currently i am on UK assignment for some period of time.
3) Latest bank statement of last three months on my guest house address.

IS this all solve the purpose of accomodation or i need to take the property on rent and show the agreement of tenancy.

Please help and let me know about my situation.

Thanks

Though accomodation details or proof is not that important to be furnished when compared to marriage certificate for spouse and Birth certificate for kids... but for ur satisfaction if you can get a letter from you company that they will provide accomodation for you and ur family in their guest house.. that's all is more than enough..

why i said accomodation is not that important: please read this thread and post by Push_hsmp n go through the link he provided;

My situation is EXACTLY the same.

My question is: Do I need to disclose the allowance my husband is getting? For Eg: Can I just send the first and last page of the offer letter to prove employment? Will they be interested in HOW MUCH he is making and whether it'll be enough to support a family?

For Dependent Visa Applicaations..

Sufficient Maintenance Funds in the Bank for min required periods are more important/ required by HO
rather than the employment proof/letters to show/verify how u will be supported..
please dont complicate ur situations..

Marriage Certificate/ Birth Certificate/ Maintenance funds are some of the imporatnt docs that go with Dependent visa applications..

please read this pdf from HO.. Annex C

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/ ... cchecklist

Annex C - Supporting Documents Checklist
All applicants
• Travel document or passport (passports and travel documents should be valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from the UK)
• One passport sized photograph. This must not be more than 6 months old. (Please see photograph box at the beginning of the form for more details)
• Biometric details
• The appropriate fee
• Evidence to support the information you have given (see below for more details)
• Evidence of your relationship to the main applicant
• Evidence that the main applicant will be able to support you without needing any help from public funds;
• A copy of the pages from the main applicant’s passport showing their permission to stay, if they are already in the UK.

Personal Details section
• Unless single, please provide evidence of your marital status e.g. marriage or civil partnership certificate
• The official record of any conviction(s), detailing the crime(s) you were convicted of and the sentence(s) you received

Thanks Ramesh. I've gone through the checklist. I have ALL the documents mentioned there.

If the case worker is unhappy about absence of acco proof or employment proof, under which rules can he/she reject an application?

Applying for dependent visa. Need Urgent Help

Post by sunil_dhingra7 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 5:37 pm

My company are not providing any letter for accomodation, i will book one double bedroom for my family and will get the letter from the guesthouse owner.

Is that proof is sufficient for accomodation.

From my company i can provide letter only showing that i am working in this company from last 4 years and now came in uk at client side.

I think accomodation proof is as much important as other document, as one of my friend applied for dependents from india and did not give any proof for accomodation, so their dependent visa got rejected.

please help
Thanks

I did not see any dependent cases being rejected due to accomodation.. one because it is not mandatory document or is listed in the documents to be submitted..

But having said that, it is easy for me to say "dont worry it is fine, go ahead"..
so just wait for other seniors to confirm this so that you are more confirmed and confident..

EDITED - Oops.. i think i spoke too early.. please read sunil's msg above.. but would wait for more seniors for their views..

Sunil, are you providing any payslips or other proof showing money inflow? or just a letter stating "mr xyz is an employee of abc firm in India and is currently on deputation to the UK" is sufficient?

Applying for dependent visa. Need Urgent Help

Post by sunil_dhingra7 » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:16 am

Hi,

I can provide my subsistance letter which i got from company, and in this letter its clearly shown what i am getting for my duration in uk.

Is it nessasary to provide the income letter from my company, and a saparate letter showing that i am working in this company from last 4 years and currently i am on UK assignment.

and IS it ok if i provide only letter of booking of double room from guest house owner in the proof of accomodation.

Please clearify this.

sunil, did you submit your application? I submitted mine and got the visa...

I submitted my husband's offer letter highlighted the following clauses

1. You will be paid full indian salary and XYZ pounds as allowance in UK.
2. We are aware that you will be accompanied on this assignment
3. Accomodation will be provided by us.

The company gave my husband a serviced apartment. I also submitted a letter from the letting company that me and my daughter will be joining my husband in the apartment.

Hope this info helps you. Incase you have any questions, PM me.
