FIance visa

Post by Jean-paul » Fri Aug 28, 2009 10:51 am

My fiancee and I wish to apply for a fiance visa. SHe has already visited me twice before in the UK and we have proof of our relationship such as texts etc mails. I am a british national

The question i wanted to ask is what is the general waiting time for a fiance visa and the success rates. I know of some people who have waited months and months. Secondly alot of these people who did apply couldn't speak English and were not educated however my fiancee can speak english fluently and is educated to degree level as I am, so will this increase our chances of obtaining a visa since she is a benefit and can work here etc..

thanks

Jean-Paul....I'm totally confused now. What happened to your friend's fiancee, (in your other posts) here on a Visitor Visa and wanting to apply for COA and switch to spouse in the UK....or return to apply for a fiancee visa?

The waitng time and the sucess rate for fiance applications differs depending on where you have applied.

Your application will be dealt when its your turn in the processing order. As regards the sucess, that I am afraid depends on each persons personal circumstances and application. The fact that your fiancee speaks fluent english and can work doesnt gurantee success, if you can prove that that you can not support or accomadate her etc in the first place.

However if you meet the requirements then teh ability to speak english and work and contribute to teh economy of teh UK, then that is helpful.
