Living IN

Post by toleem » Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:31 pm

Hi there

I have had a good read of the posts in here and I coul not find anyhting that answeres my question.
Here is the situation that I am in:
- I am, British citizen, married and have 1 year old daguhter. My wife and daughter do not live with me in UK currently, but we are planning to apply for Settlement Visa.
I live at the place where I work, one confourtable bedsit, and have all expenses i.e. rent, gas, electricity, tax included in my wages, what means that I get 190GBP per week bruto out of 360 netto pay. As a result of this I have no receipts of any bills, I only have bank statements showing my weekly income, pay slips and tennancy agreement.
Do you think it is wiser if I moved out ot his address somewhere else where I would be billed against my name etc, or what would any of the senior and other members suggest.

Thanks

yes.
It would be better to rent or buy a place that can accomodate all of you and have some bills on your name.
''no account shall be taken of a child under the age of one and a child
aged one or over but under ten shall be reckoned as one-half of a unit''

If your daughter is over 1 year old then you'll need atleast two rooms. The minimum - it can be one bed room and a separate living room which can be used as a bedroom.

Floor area of room
110 sq.ft or more - 2 person
90 to 110 sq.ft - 1.5 person
70 to 90 sq.ft - 1 person
50 to 70 sq.ft - 0.5 person

Good luck

Thanks for your time hmm

Do you think that 3 month bills are a sufficient proof?

3 months is what they generally ask for. Check with the BHC you are going to apply from. I heard some BHC ask for more than 3 months bills.
