Rules regarding stay outside UK and getting ILR

Post by ashok2621 » Fri Sep 18, 2009 4:18 pm

Hi

I came to UK on workpermit in Feb 2006. Then i switched to HSMP in Aug 07. In Aug 2009, i have taken extension for another three years i.e. till Aug 2012.

I think i am eligible for PR by Feb 2011. Please advice if it is not the case.

I read that one can be out of UK for 450 days in 5 yrs with a restriction that one cannot be outside UK for more than 90 days in the last year.

But few of my friends are saying that one can never be out of UK for more than 90 consecutive in a single year. Is it really the case? Please advice.

I am jobless since last 5+ months and is thinking of stayin in my native country for some time. Can i stay for more than 90 days consecutively in my second last year.

Please advice.

cheers
aabcd
