Post by raom » Mon Sep 12, 2005 11:06 am

Hi,

I am an July 2005 applicant. I came to know that my case has been approved when i had called HSMP over the phone. They told me that they have sent my documents 1 month back but still i have not received it. If anybody can tell guide me on this will be great.

I want to know is it neccessery that i will have to produce my originlas while going to EC? IF i will tell that i have lost my documents in transit what will the Home office guys will tell? I am really concerned..

Thanks

call them for details which day they sent to you and check postoffice, it should sent by recorded, that's mean a signature was required.

Hi,

I checked with them. THey told that they have posted the letters on 15tth August. Since i have submitted my originals while i filed for HSMP, i would like to know whether is mandatory that i will have produce my originals for EC? I know that i can get a duplicate approval letter from home office. I am having sleepless nights thinking on this..

Thanks

It depends which country/consulate you are applying to (for EC). i had to submit originals and plus duplicates of my documents in Manila. go to the EC sticky thread, you might get more information there about what people from your country were required to submit.

Also, can you contact your local post office and ask about the parcel? If you know when it was mailed from the UK, they may know when to expect it and watch out for it. Good luck :).

raom,

Have you got your documents back? Have you applied for EC?

I am in a similar situation. My application is approved in the third week of September (Dont know the exact date) but have not got the documents and the approval letter so far.

Hi Ashwin,

Still i have not received my documents. So i am sure that my documents is lost. So i have started preparing for arranging my duplicate certificates. I have talked with the british consulte here, they have told i can get my EC if originals is lost. So for getting my originals i will have to wait for 12 weeks. Since i have got my approval on 15th august i will have to wait for some time.

Hope you will not face my situation.

Thanks

I am also in your similar situation.

I am also in your similar situation. Since they sent my decision letter and original documents, it is 12 weeks later , I ever sent Airmail to HSMP team with my correct address scrip.

Last week they told me by E-mail that a duplicate decision letter was re-print and sent to me, and they hope this will be with me shortly.

But until today I have not received my duplicate decision letter yet.

I think my original documents appear to have gone astray in transit. I hope my original documents might return to their office if the postal services were unable to deliver.

Hi,

I am in the process of getting my duplicate approval letter. I have asked HSMP not to send it by post and i have told them i will be arranging a courier to pick it up.

I have been finding difficulty in arranging a courier since HSMP will not be signing for any of the documents. So none of the courier company is ready to pick it up..

Anybody from India can help me on this? HAs anybody got there documents by courier? If so can you give me the details of the courier so that i can speak with them?

It is fearing to see Originals being lost this way. I read in some topic some time back that a person was not awarded any marks for Qualification as he didnot submitted Originals and he submitted notarised copies of his qualificiations.

The HSMP team does not even signs any letters on Courier pick ups and if losing of Originals is so common, it is very fearing to send across the Originals without any secure mechanism of getting them back.
