Holding Valid Residence Permit

Post by samkma » Sun Nov 06, 2005 5:43 am

Hello
My friend Alfred is holding a valid residence permit of Bahrain in his Indian passport (RP validity 03.03.2007) He is in India and will be applying for an Entry Clearance to UK as dependent of a workpermit holder. Will this RP of another country affect the decision of his application? or will he have to get it cancelled before submitting his application to the British High Commission in India?

Can anyone advice??

Thanking you all

Samkma,

Are you in Chennai? How did your application at the BHC go? Your case seems to be exactly the same as your friend's, unless I am missing something here?

Your friend, does he hold an Indian passport? If yes, I don't see why he should get his Bahrain Residence Permit cancelled in order to apply for the UK visa.

Smit
My application is submitted to VFS in Cochin. Waiting for a +ve reply in few days will keep you informed.

Yes My friend D'Souza is an Indian Citizen, he has got a reply from the BHC saying that holding a residence permit of Bahrain will in no way affect the decision for his Entry Clearance to UK.

Thanks for your reply Smit.
