Paydate does not match with bank credit date

Post by pkumar » Sun Oct 04, 2009 10:01 pm

Hi,

HR issued a "original" looking paystubs(where in you need to tear it open from 3 sides) for all 12 months. To my surprise the pay date mentioned is always last date of the month which pay credit in bank is pay date of the company (that varies).

Asking HR they told that this is how system prints. Do you think it will be a problem? i know i can get letter confirming that dates does not match but i actually looking to know if this is Norm in UK? has anyone submitted paystubs that has paydate different from bank credit date?

Hi pkumar,

This is not a problem. I submitted my payslips that showed the month end date but the date on which the money was transferred to the bank was different to that.

This will be fine as long as net amount of your payslips matches amount in your bank statement.

Application will be filed from India. Do you think they are strict there and might to like the fact the paydate in payslip and the day pay was credited to bank does not match?

I think there should be no problem. To make yourself comfortable you may submit a letter from your employer instead of payslips.

Quote from guidance:
iii) Letter from the applicant’s (previous and/or present) employer(s) (or in the case of winnings, the relevant awarding body) confirming that he/she has received the exact amount claimed. This is a letter on company headed paper which clearly shows the applicant’s earnings during period claimed, and the date and amount of each payment. This letter should be dated after the period for which earnings are being claimed and should clearly show the applicant’s gross and net pay.â€
