Questions-HSMP extension - Tier I

I am due for a visa extension in Feb 2010. Coudl you please help with my questions below:
1) For wife and child, should I fill up the following form twice when all three of us are applying together: pbsdependantapplication.pdf
2) for applying in person, why is it advisable to phone up rather than do online appointment booking
3) I got my HSMP in 2008 feb when I proved my english language capability. How shoudl I prove my english language capability this time
4) I have been in my new job since Jul 2009. If my Tier 1 gets rejected, can my company file for my Tier 2?

2) for applying in person, why is it advisable to phone up rather than do online appointment booking Not sure who/where advised that. Online booking has started very recently and i think it is too early to gauge the efficiency of the system.
3) I got my HSMP in 2008 feb when I proved my english language capability. How shoudl I prove my english language capability this time
Just make sure your qualification and University is listed in PBS calculator.In your extension form you will be asked whether you proved english language during intial application. Besides, if you prove during initial application you don't need to resend the document.

4) I have been in my new job since Jul 2009. If my Tier 1 gets rejected, can my company file for my Tier 2? Make sure all documents are in place. Try to apply well in advance, don;t wait for last moment. I would say atleast 2-2.5 months before your current leave expires so that you have enough buffer in the worst case. If you apply with correct evidences and proper documenation chances of rejection is very less. Take special care for maintenance funds and your photographs. Many people got rejected due to these two. But yes provided you are in country your employer can apply for Tier2(but I would avoid that scenario even if I have to apply second time).
