applicant and sponsor's support letters

Post by Laura410 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 7:56 am

Hi everyone

My fiance is writing a supporting letter, as am I, for my fiancee settlement visa. Can anyone help or advise on what points we should be covering in this letter, how long it should be etc?

Many thanks!!

You need to write a simple letter, no longer than 4 paragraphs

Para1: Write a brief history about yourself, what you do where you live, your family background etc

Para2: How and where you met, how your relation developed, what your family's thoughts are on the matter.

Para 3: Why you want to settle in the UK?, what support/acomodation is available to you, what are the prospect of getting employment with the skills and qualifications that you have.

Para 4: What assurances can you give that you are not going to be reliant on state support to help you out. What benefits can you bring to the country etc?

Hope this gives you some ideas :)
