Question related to HSMP extension

Post by mubbu » Wed Nov 23, 2005 10:48 am

Can you please clarify my points:

I have a HSMP approval, but yet to go for an EC.
My current employer is willing to send me to the UK for the assignment., on HSMP. They will give me a pay in UK, which will be like an allowance all the taxes will be paid on mybehalf by my employer. They would provide me the payslip for the same as well.

So thing I want to know, Whether allowance is eligible to show to the Home-Office for the extension of the HSMP to another 3years.?

Also, During the 1st year, can I go out of UK and then come back to UK.?

Thanks in advance,

Where will the taxes be paid? In the UK or abroad?

If taxes are paid to UK government then you will be OK. kepp records of pay-slips/ contract, etc as you will need them for renewal/extension...
Where there is a will there is a way.

Its a multiple entry visa, so yes you can come go out of UK and come back.

As Chess has said, as long as you are being taxed here you should be alright. Along with your payslips make sure you get your National Insurance number sorted out.

My employer would ask me to fill up P85 and P86 forms, related to Tax....I hope this should be ok.

OK, well no and yes! More detail about those forms on this HMRC webpage.

The P85 is for people leaving the UK so not appropriate. But a P86 is entirely logical for you.

As you will be unable to hand in a form P45 from a previous UK employer you will also need to fill in a form P46.

This transfer to the UK .... are you totally happy that you are getting the UK rate for the work you are doing?
