Tier 1 Extension ramifications?

I got my Tier 1 recently but being in a well-paid job here and with no job-in-hand in UK, I wish to travel to UK after 6 months or a year (to gain some solid experience to brag about). So my query is that what will be the risk at the time of Tier 1 extension, if I take such a step? I mean is there any clause in the form which says that applicant must make sure that he has stayed so-&-so time period (every year) in UK during his '3-year-allowance-under-Tier-1' before applying for extension?
