I think it's gonna be difficult to get an extension if you change your profession from the one, on the basis of which you are going to apply for your HSMP

There seems to be a lot of confusion going on around here on the kind of work one is expected to pick up while on HSMP.

Some people are of the opinion that one must work in one's specified profession when applying for HSMP, while some will tell you it is not necessarily so.

Please at this stage, we will like people who have actually gotten extension of their permit while working outside of their HSMP specified profession and people who have gotten refusal because they were unable to get job related to their HSMP specified profession to advise us.

I discover that people who are actually advising against are actually not talking from experience, but from opinion of what they think is likely to be the case.

Olisun, I am sorry if i sounded a little bit antagonistic. It is just that i will soon be in the same position, not neccessarily due to forced circumstance but due to freewill. I have intention of having a change in career and i don't want to start asking the same question only to be having different answers on the same topic.

Good forum member, please let us trash this out and have answers from the 'horses mouth', i mean people who have actually gone through this, who can share their experiences with us, whether positive or not.

Thank you as you this.
