VAF2 form for spouse

Post by kewlplanet » Thu Dec 17, 2009 12:37 am

Ladies and Gents,

I am a work permit holder residing in the UK and would like to apply for my mrs visa residing in Pakistan.

I am filling in the VAF2 form as I am on a work permit which was prior to the point based system.

Since, I am filling VAF2 form for my wife, I have got a little confusion with regards to the Part 5 Finances and Employment.

In 5.1, I mentioned, Supported by spouse / partner / other family member, please give full details in the box, including their relationship
to you; then go to 5.9.

Now, my confusion is does these all below applies to me? or my wife?

5.10 says. What is your total monthly income from all sources of employment or occupation after tax?

5.11 Do you receive income from any other sources, including friends or family?

5.12 Do you have savings, property or other income (for example
from stocks and shares)?

5.13 How much of your total monthly income is given to your family members and other dependents?

5.14 How much do you spend each month on living costs?

Could any one please shed some light on this.

Best regards

It relates to your wife not to you.

So if your wife is a housewife then in 5.10 put none

in 5.11 you tick yes and say something like £400 per month sent by spouse in uk

in 5.12 either tick yes or no if she has or doesnt have any savings or shares

in 5.13 you tick no (unless your wife is giving your hard earned cash to her family behind your back)

Hope that answers it.
