student visa to tier 4- GAP issue

Post by nasif » Sat Dec 19, 2009 6:57 pm

Hi,

I am on student visa expiring on 31 Jan 2010.

I have booked an appointment with home office for 8 of Jan.

I have statement of about £7,500 and I have got the letter from college till July 2010.

The only issue is I finished my CIMA in Feb 2009 and then started MSc 29 of June 2009.

I am under old student rules.

I am concerned if the gap can cause any issue with my extension.

Please if anyone could help me.

The new rules state that the gap should not be more than two months.

But the home office website states that the new rules do not apply to people who had their visas before 31st March 2009.

PLEASE REPLY THANKS.
