Sponsoring twice?

Post by gelala80 » Fri Jan 01, 2010 12:51 pm

Hi

I previously sponsored my ex, we are currently getting divorced. My current partner was recently 'removed' from the UK as a failed asylum seeker, I naturally what to apply to bring him back. Has anyone sponsored twice and if so was it more complicated the 2nd time as you had done it before ie. was the visa application more drawn out?

Thanks.

If you're getting divorced then why do you want to bring him back?

Misunderstanding

Post by gelala80 » Fri Jan 01, 2010 1:17 pm

I want to sponsor my current partner not my ex, that is why my query is in relation to sponsoring twice, its not the same person.

Sorry i misunderstood you.

If he was removed from the UK then he's going to be subject to a ban and as such he won't be coming back soon. The only way round it is if you're married but seeing as he's been removed then any application will be subject to more scrutiny than usual.

I am afraid that your application to sponsor your current partner will be denied as he is a failed asylum seeker.
If you marry it will be seen as a bogus marriage as it will be seen as a way to gain entrance to the UK

1) Just because he's a failed asylum seeker makes no difference so was I my ex and I brought him back.
2) Current partner has been removed not deported therefore no ban.

The point I was referring to was can I sponsor twice? Was hoping someone may know of someone or is someone that has sponsored a 2nd time and was the process the same as 1st time round or more complicated.

You can sponsor twice, but your application is likely to come under a great deal of scrutiny, especially as your current husband was also a failed asylum seeker.
You are presumably aware that you won't be able to apply for a fiance or spouse visa until your pending divorce is finalised?
How long since you sponsored your husband's visa?

Yes am aware of that, just waiting on the divorce to come through now so I can get re-married. Its been 3 years this January since my ex came back.
