Dear All

Thank you all for your help and support in this site specially Ramesh, Chetanojha and Duvvuri. And thanks immigrationboards.com

Yessss I got my visa today for 3 years.
My timeline is
Applied 26 Oct
Received in Home Office 27 Oct
Fee debited 28 Oct
Reference No----Never received
Visa granted. 23 Nov for 3 years from the date of expiry till May 2013
Documents received 1 Dec
Police Registration done 1 Dec

By the way the visa looks different from the previous one it is called "RESIDENCE PERMIT" not Entry Clearance. And it is somehow blue.

Dear Duvvuri and those who have got their visa recently, does your one look the same?

Thanks again and wish luck for all the mates

Hello everybody,

Just been reading the posts and looks like there are a lot of peeps out here who are in a similar situation like me. So long story cut short.... All the best to everyone !

My situation :
Switching from PSW to Tier 1 General.
App. Posted : 20/11/09
Ref no. received : 23/11/09
The clocks been ticking since then...im afraid. :)

Anyone else out here who applied on the same date ?
Also, just to share some info with you all, one of my mates received his visa 2 weeks ago ( PSW to tier 1 ) within 2 weeks. Thinking of this gives me some courage n hope...lol

Thanks,
Vik

I dont think you should be worrying about the expiration date as long as you have the acknowledgement/reference no from the homeoffice that they are having your passport and documents.

Application timelines for me.

Visa expiry date: 06 Dec 2009
Application sent via Royal mail special delivery: 11th Nov 2009
Fee deducted :19th Nov 2009
Never received Reference number
Visa stamped: 9th Dec 2009
Stamped docs received: 16th Dec 2009

Straightforward case with one job and payslips matching the amount credited in bank. Submitted older photos but they were not in any of the older photos in the passport/Visa. No date in photos as well.

For all those receiving childcare vouchers, it is not regarded as a benefit. I did receive childcare vouchers from my employer. I did count it in my gross earnings. Be assured that it does count.

I paid by check and I suspect that was the delay in getting my application processed.

paragraph 326 of the Immigration Rules

Post by sankar » Tue Jan 12, 2010 3:42 pm

Hi All,
Does anyone know what does this mean?

I am applying for tier1 (General) Extension soon. I am slightly confused whether I need to register myself with local Police. I got dome info from "paragraph 326 of the Immigration Rules", but unable to understand whom does it apply to? Is it for all Asian countries or some?

Please reply if anyone has come across such things.
