Answers Pls

Post by neo4ever » Thu Jan 14, 2010 4:45 pm

i am a student here in UK. I have been staying with my patner for close to 2yrs now and we have a baby. She works but on maternity leave. She recieves child tax benefit and housing benifit but i contribute the huge size of the monthly house payement and pay for the bills. She is a citizen of UK but we are not married yet because i'm in school and have responsibilities so can't afford getting married now but after my studies will.

The immigration rules on public fund leaves me with a question, Will i be eligible to getting my stay when my visa expires.I will be grateful if my question is answered. Thanks

She's a uk citizen so she's allowed to claim public funds. If you're not claiming public funds then you will be fine to get a spousal visa after you marry.
I tell it like it is.

You say you've been together for two years. Do you have proof that you have been living together in the form of bills in both of your names?

If you have proof that you've been living together for two years you can apply for the unmarried partner visa.

Otherwise when you're ready you can apply for a certificate of approval and get married. After you marry, you can switch to flr(m) from within the uk.
I tell it like it is.
