Regarding Accomadation proof for TIER1 Dependants:

Post by chandu_246 » Fri Jan 15, 2010 10:47 am

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for TIER1 Dependent visa for my wife and kid(8 Months old).

I am going to take 2 double rooms in a shared house with seperate bath room(The two double rooms have seperate bath room
and it is for my exclusive use.It is not shared basically).
All other thing are shared(like Spam and living room).Spam and living room are really large.Land lord is very very kind that she has agreed to put in some information I wish in the tenancy agreement,if I think it helps me in getting the VISA.Now what sentences should I ask her to add in the rental agreement so that I see no rejection with accomodation proof.

Please advise.

Regards,
Chandra

Firstly, the rental agreement should clearly say that the accomodation comprises of two double bed rooms, exclusively for your use. Secondly, the agreement should also clearly say that landlord has no objection in letting your family to stay with you.

It is not absolutely necessary to provide a proof of permanent accommodation - its fine to show arrangements for a temporary lodging in a hotel etc. If you are already in UK then ideally you should provide a proof as ganeshptrk has indicated - you may provide a side letter from the landlord to cover the above points if the tenancy agreement does not do so already. Pls note that it is a breach of your tenancy agreement if ppl other than those who have been permitted under the agreement reside in the accommodation.
