Dear All

My fiancee is having 5 years Work permit and she is planning to leave her current job, now I have following questions

1) how long she can stay in UK without taking another job with new work permit from another employer.
2) can she stay in UK for the whole of 5 year without taking anyfurther job considering she only completed only 1 year out of 5 year work permit.
3) Is there legally any time limit when one has to leave UK if she/he can not find another employer who can offer her a work permit, consider her/his visa will be valid for the whole of 5 years

I would advise her to find an employer willing to sponser Work Permit ASAP or file for HSMP. She may have LTR for 5 years on the visa, but the validity of the visa technically ends when her employment ends.
I am not sure of the length of time you have in hand, but if it is the same time as an expired visa, then it would be 28 days. However, many employers fail to report that the employee has left their company to the HO.

No she cannot do that
