Yeah we're both over 21, and we got the COA and gave notice and stuff in September.Casa wrote:In order to meet the financial requirements for a spouse visa you will have to show that you will be able to support yourselves financially without 3rd party (family) assistance. They are able to provide accomodation, but not funds.
Are you both over 21? Are you marrying in the UK and if so have you applied to the Home Office for a Certificate of Approval (COA) for permission to do so...or are you marrying without a COA in an Anglican church (C of E)?
Thanks for the link. If we manage to get the franchise all set up and I manage to get payslips for 3 months prior to June at least, that should be fine, right?batleykhan wrote:I think you will find that 3rd party SUPPORT and acomadation is now allowed as a result of a very recent court case.
However I am still of the opinion that if you can financially support (and acomadate) yourself, you stand a better chance of getting the visa

I would argue and say that the precedence has been set on a stated case on the day the decision was made by the Courts.I don't believe that ECO's have as yet been given new instructions regarding 3rd party financial support and despite the ruling in the appeal court, the regulations remain unchanged.
