Mid term bank statement for PSW

Post by fulginic » Wed Jan 20, 2010 2:55 am

I have a statement from 1st october 2009 shows balance less than £800 until 20th October 2009 when I added fund, but all are in 1 statement showing from 1st oct. 2009 to 19 october £2.00, then on 20th october it gets up to £850.00 and remain like that till today 20th January 2010, so can I count from 20/10/2009 to 20/01/2010? will they ignore the start and count from 20th?

or will they count just from 20th january 2010 and back to 20/10/2009 and then ingnore all other beyound 20th even though show on statement,

Or they don't want to see balance less than £800 even if it does not count?

They usually count from the last date on the statement send backwards 3 months.. so u should be fine.. If they reject yours then i could lodge a complaint coz my visa was rejected when my funds dropped by 7 pounds 3 months after i had maintained my balance above 800 pounds.. and the judge himself said during the appeal that they counted it from last date backwards.

if u have some time in ur visa, then better to apply 3-4 days late just for the safe side.

get a new fresh statement which show just the funds above the requirement.
i mean if u are refused even by mistake of home office, then u will definitely get visa later on in appeal but it will be a big hassle u know.

so better take a statement which starts from 21st Oct till 25th Jan. don't go for exact exact 3 months.... better to show 3-4 days more.

just an honest advice.

best of luck

1. HO normally start the 3 months period from the recent date of u most recent statement and go 3 months bak by that date.
2. Every case worker is different so if the caseworker is not ignorant he/she will understand and if they are ignorant then they might reject.
3. Even if they reject u will easily win the case without any problem as u maintained the required balance for 3 months.

Thanks Folks. I still have up to end of this month for my visa, but I am afraid with these bank officers you know. they can jump into your account with one silly debit and it went down. however, I want to send it on 23rd.

They said if I want past statements, it will only be sent as a copy for each past month, and this means having the same thing all over again.
I think I will include a note to say count from 23rd oct to 23rd jan,
But another worries is that, I want to enter card details so that they will take their £500 from there, will this be an offence? since I have satisfied the 3 months thing at the date I sent my application. is whatever happens from 24th in the account their problem?
