Overdrawn every month, pregnant in Peru

I'm so glad to have found this place for advice! My Peruvian fiancee and I are getting married in 10 days time and are going to apply for a visa for him to come to the UK as my spouse straight away. I am currently 5 months pregnant and the last day I can fly is 23rd March so we're hoping to have an answer before then, time here is about 1 month apparently.
My question is, I worked until March 2009 and then came to Peru to volunteer. I have received two payment of £1500 since then for some consultancy work I did (I am a fundraiser for charities) but I have been volunteering here in Peru since then. I have a letter from the organisation i have volunteered for saying they will employ me when I return at £2000 per month but this is only until our baby is born (because it is a short contract I won't get maternity pay). My account has been overdrawn up to £900 each month when I was in employment. I also received £3500 from the sale of my apartment in December 2009 of which I have £1500 remaining in my account. Is there anything I can do to prove I can support my spouse until he finds work? We will be living with my parents and then in another house they own once the baby is born and contributing £200 per month for food and £100 for bills. I'm worried that we will get refused and I will need to stay here in Peru or return without him until he can try again.
Any help would be so appreciated!

He cant come as a spouse as you are not married. You mean a fiancee

Yes sorry, I meant because we are getting married in 10 days time we will apply once he is my spouse.

We are both 30 years old and met 9 months ago when I started volunteering at a project where he has been working for 4 years as the coordinator of a bird conservation project.

I was long term volunteering as a fundraiser which is my profession and have been in Peru since May with 6 weeks back in the UK for 2 weddings in August during which time we were in constant contact. We started our relationship very quickly in May and lived together in a room at the centre while we worked there and also started a rental contract in Cusco city in June 09 where we live when we're not working at the centre.

We are still living together here in Cusco and our NGO are supporting us with everything including letters about our relationship and the job offer for me when I return home.

My husband has contacts all over the UK and could work training expeditions and volunteers, he doesn't have a firm job offer as he doesn't have the visa so its sort of catch 22.

I am hoping the fact that our baby is on the way will help us but am concerned about my finances, they're pretty normal for someone in my type of role but I wish I had less of an overdraft and more savings to show, can you advise on anything I can do to improve our odds?

I'm starting to feel a bit panicky reading some of the stories here and worrying about our chances for our family to be all together in the UK.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Having read and altered your comments (- split it up into paragrapghs-so easy to understand)my advise would be for you to return back to the UK after getting married and then apply for your spouse visa once you have a job,sufficient funds and accomdation.

If you apply whilst you are abroad and want your hubby to come with you, then your hubbys application will be assesed on "what may be available"rather than if you do do as I suggest above and then that way you can prove "what is available",

If you do this the application will most likely succed whereas I am of the opinion that if you do the first it may be refused.

I know it will mean a time when you will be seperated fromyour hubby,its better that it be for a short period( if you suceed) rather than a long period (a year) if you are refused and have to go through appeal procedure.
