Additional docs Tier 1 Appl

Post by Sark » Thu Jan 28, 2010 6:57 am

Hi
I submitted my Tier 1 application at VFS, New Delhi on 18/01/2010. For maintenance fund i submitted original FD receipts of 1.95L and 50K from two different banks. There was also a letter from the bank confirming the funds have been existing with the bank for last three months. However it did not mention that these funds can be withdrawn anytime before maturity. I had hired a consultant to review my application and they too didnot advice me regarding this.

While submitting the application, the lady at the VFS counter remarked abt it and i anyways submitted the application without being able to judge the gravity. Later on research, i gathered its an common reason of rejection.

I immediately procured the same letters from my bank and submitted the documents at British High Commission on 20/01/2010. Though I couldnt get inside I managed to speak to some person at the help desk inside and he told me that they'll add these docs in my application.
I have no clue now if they were actually attached or not and the BHC does not entertain any further queries.

Please advice me on how I could save the application as I have a job offer to join in March.

Hi,

VFS in India is just a gate keeper for BHC. I have seen the following mail sent from VFS some time before in a relevant discussion
Thank you for contacting VFS UK Visa Helpdesk.

With regard to your query:

We suggest the applicants to provide original documents. However, your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission. Please note your visa application will be processed and decided by UK visas staff. Neither VFS, nor any of our staff, play any part in or influence the outcome of your visa application.

If, you would like to submit your other original documents, please visit the application center, along with a covering/requisition letter and that will be forwarded to British High Commission.

Thanks & Regards

UK Helpdesk

The email address was: vfsuk.north@vfs-uk-in.com
The direct answer is that VFS would have sent the additional supporting document that you gave them to BHC. Wish you the best!
Regards,
vks

Thanks for the reply
Actually in delhi the VFS and BHC are located at different places. After submitting the original document at VFS, I submitted the additional documents with the security guard at BHC. I was able to speak to someone inside the BHC office who did agree to attach them. Is there any procedure to ask for an appointment and confirm the status of the additional docs.

I am even ready to withdraw my application if I get the confirmed status. So far I am unable to reach anyone in BHC again

It is really important to me since I already have a job offer to join in march :(. Is the statement regarding FD really important?
