Is UK earnings in a deputation period counts?

Post by sudha.x.dash2008 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 8:31 am

Dear All,

I have some queries, can anyone put some light please?

I have been deputed for 5 and a half months from Mar 09 to Aug 29 in UK.My company provides allowance monthly.

Que1: Can I show this allowance as my earnings? Its not salary slip, its an allowance slip monthly.
Que2:If yes to Que1,do the bank statemets from UK bank will do alone without signed and stamped will suffice.I have requested to the bank to reissue the statements and despatch to theold Uk address which I will get it by post from my friends there. I at located in India now.And I missed the original statements during my stay ib UK as I did not have any plans for tier 1 that time.

If someone please guide in this.

Thanks and Regards,
Sudha.

Normally allowances are included in the payslip and count as earnings as you pay tax on those.

In your snario, as you get allowances only, dont get payslip so dont pay taxes and ni on it. Further more you were deported from uk.

I do not think it will be okay by HO,
But wait for the seniors to comment on it

1. Evidence from 2 different sources is required to prove previous earnings.
2. Any evidence being sumbitted must fulfil the requirements specified in Tier 1 (Genreal) policy guidance.
