Hello,
I have appointment for Tier1 General on 3d Feb and have some queries on application form.
Hope some one will asisit me.
Just to give you some background,
I came to Uk in May 2008 on Work permit from India and then in UK got my Tier 2 Visa in May 2009 for 2 years. My visa is valid till 2011.
In Oct 2009 I renwe my passport from London however my Visa in still in old passport .My old passport will expire in Sep 2010.
My question is on section D of Immigaration history:
D1. Did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before entering the United Kingdom?
Yes - go to question D2 No - go to question D5
D2. Where did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before travelling to the United
Kingdom?
Country
Post (City)
D3. What date was the entry clearance or visa issued?
D4. Please enter the reference number on the entry clearance or visa which can be found in the applicant’s passport or travel document.
D5. Are either the applicant’s current and/or any one of his/her previous passport(s) or travel
document(s) that he/she has used to travel to, and remain in, the United Kingdom which
shows his/her current leave unavailable?
Yes - go to question D6 No - go to question D11
So can you please guide to fill the above questions.
Also where can i find the reference number on the entry clearance or visa which can be found in the applicant’s passport or travel document
Thanks in Advance.
Looking forward for quick response.
Regards
Mahi

D1 - Yes
D2 - India, Name the city mentioned as "Issued at/by" on the EC stamp in your passport (2008).
D3 - Date of issue on the Entry Clearance stamp in your passport that you applied for (D2).
D4 - The alphnumeric number on the top-right-corner of the Entry Clearance stamp (e.g. - UK123456).
D5 - No (because both passports are with you). Take both passports with you on the day of the appointment.

Thanks sushdmehta for the quick response.
However can you please explain me the question D5?Its bit confusing.
Also I am applying for my spouse and she has has only one passport so I believe in her case also the answer should be No.
Also I am providing the proof for my previous earning from 1st Dec-08 to 30-Nov -09.I hope it should be fine as it falls under 15 month.Just wanted to confirm?
One more last question,
L5. The applicant should complete the following table giving details of previous earnings
being claimed. If earnings originated from more than one source, each source should be
entered separately.
Can I make only entry into this section i.e
1-dec-2008 to 30-Nov-2009 and also mentioned the total gross
or do I need to make the 12 entries for all the monthy.
Note: I am showing the detail entry for 12 months in the covering letter.
Thnaks for your help and thanks in advance.
Regards
Mahi

Read it as - Are any of your passports (current and expired) not in your possession / not available? Since you have all your passports with you, answer - No.
I'll have to leave the other question for someone who's more knowledgable on the matter than I am (I'm old school)!

Thanks buddy,
was just going through some link and got the following
Where is the entry clearance reference number?
This number begins ‘VAF’ and is usually found on your Entry Clearance visa sticker.
Source
http://www.plymouth.ac.uk/pages/view.asp?page=23729
So bit confused now.

If all your 12months earnings are from single source/company you worked than u can go for just 1 entry and fill the details..
