Canadian girlfriend, wants to study, work first, marriagenext

Post by pickles » Wed Feb 03, 2010 4:07 am

My Canadian girlfriend and I are moving back to the UK. We have been living together for less than two years. She intends to study, starting September 2011, and we are planning on getting married in Spring of 2011, after we have saved money.

It seems the fiance visa wont allow her to work.
The Youth Mobility Visa wont allow her to study.
and we've not lived together long enough for a Spousal visa.

Any suggestions?

Are you a uk citizen?

You could get married in Canada earlier and apply for a spousal visa. There is no cohabiting requirement for that one.
I tell it like it is.
