I was bit worried after giving credit card details, seeing so many mails regarding credit card transaction issues.

My application (HSMP to Tier1 - Main + 2 dep) was sent on 21-01-2010 through Royal Mail special delivery
Application received on Jan 22nd.
Fee not yet deducted.

Hi All,

Update from my side.
My credit card payment was taken yesterday.
I can see my credit limit reduced by £920 (820+2x50) :-)
It is still under pending transactions, but I haven't used my card for any other purpose, so this should be my visa fee.
Waiting for the acknowledgement from HO now.

Cheers,
akb.
Hi Received my ack letter from home office yesterday.

Application sent on 21-01-2010 - Royal Mail special delivery
Application received on Jan 22nd.
Fee deducted on 27th Jan.
Ack letter received on 30th Jan.

Cheers,
akb
Hi All,

One quick question on photograph requirement.
I had sent 6 photos ( 2 each of mine, wife and kid), all of which are attached to the main applicant form as per the guidelines.
I haven't attached any additional photos in the dependent applications (where it ask for 2 photos again), thinking that I have already attached them in the main form.
I just read in another forum that there was a refusal from HO, copying the mail contents below:-

The reason for asking is, that aplication of one of my friends was returned a couple of weeks back :
First, his pic was was more than six months old. He had send the same pic , that was in the passport. And the passport was like 2-3 yrs old.
Second, they said, read carefully as to how many pics u should send.
And he had sent, 2(main applicant) + 4( for 2 dependents).

I hope the reason would be old photo and not the number of photos.
Those who have got their visa along with dependents, please reply back to this.

Regards,
akb.

guys...I have just realized a small mistake that I made while sending the documentation. I have applied for self + 1 dependant. However, I have sent photos in two different envelopes, each attached to the respective applications. should this cause a problem..? any views or experience...

If the dependents are applying along with the main applicant as per the HO they want all the photos to be included in the same envelope x 2 each..

You do not need to again attach 2 photos with the dependents application.. this for those dependents who apply alone and not with the main applicant..

dont compare with the other ppl rejections as their photos are 6months old..

just make sure ur photos are less than 1month old..

Last 2weeks there were some delays in FEEs deduction at HO which is causing further delay.. please see there are many others like you who are in the queue.. so dont worry.. it will move further soon..

As per the Official website.

During the week commencing 1 February 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 29 January 2010. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

I am not sure whether this is correct info. Normally it shows one month old dates for processing.

Untill one week back, it was showing processing applications received upto Dec29th. I really doubt that HO processed all those applications received in Jan10 in one week (or that the number of applications went down so much in Jan10). So just want to inform to the group (especially those who are awaiting visa like me) to not get excited about this date. Most probably the date will be corrected some time later in this week.

Cheers,
akb.

Got my visa stamped today

Timelines

Application Submitted online - 7th Jan
Fees Deducted --- 7th Jan (as application was made online and sent to Canberra)
Biometrics Done - 8th Jan
Application sent to International Mail centre - 11th Jan
International Mail Center received the application - 12th Jan

Acknowledgement by email -21 Jan (They wanted more documents)

Documents sent again- 22nd Jan
Documents received by HO - 26th Jan
Visa Stamped - I had asked for 1st march so it is stamped for 1/03/2010 and vailid till : 01/03/2013

They didnt send me any letter saying that visa is approved just got the passport with my documents. The visa says Tier 1 migrant (general) -- VAF NO : xxx and no recourse of public funds and no employement as a doctor in training.

Do they normally send any approval letter or just the passport is enough as documentation.
