Can referral fee be part of earnings

I referred a friend to join my company. According to the company policy, I would get serveral thousand pounds for the referal. It will be paid into my bank account and will be taxed. Can this be part of my earnings?

YES, it can be a part of earnings as long as it is mentioned in ur payslip n taxed.. afterall u earned this amount n not some expense being paid back..
