Bank Statement... visa refused Urgent help. please........

Post by zzzindagi » Sun Feb 07, 2010 1:58 am

Dear friends.. this is about a friend of mine..

He applied for tier 4 general... he is currently studying in South Bank University..
He stupidly sent 45 days old bank statement only for one month

statement from 02 sept to 14 october ( one statement ) provided.
Applied on 01st of december.. his visa was expiring on end of dec 2009
please suggest.. if he appeal against the decision and provide them his statement from 15 oct to 12 nov. 2009 can he win his case.

he had 1600 in his account but on some dates his balance droped below 1600. But the closing balance was more than 1600.

Please tell me about any good lawyer...

Thanx
ZR

You only have grounds for appeal if you think the ECO has made an error in his decision or made a mistake.

The person in question here plainly didn't provide the correct documentation, so you have to consider what are the grounds for the appeal.

Wanderder..
Thanks for reply..
I am not sure about the rule of maintenance funds..
He applied on 1st december.
According to my knowledge he had to show £1600 closing balance and not continuous for 28 days. Please correct me if i am wrong..
If that was not the rule for the fund to be available for continuous 28 days, then he can provide them statement from 1st November to 30th November showing closing balance more than £1600.

If the rule was to show £1600 continuous for 28 days... then definately he has not grounds for the appeal coz his balance droped below £1600 for few days in November.
