need help regarding course finish and new course start

hello all.
i applied for my extension onn 28th october 2009 via appointment and received my card on 5th of november 2009 at that time my course pgd in BA was ending on 27th of january 2010 so my visa is expiring on 31st of may 2010 the ho allows 4 months after complition of course.
now i am doing a topup degree MBA.
my question is shall i have to inform the HO of taking further course or not
because i heard from some one that if some on ants to change a course of collage they should inform the HO.
please advise
