Dear Forum friends,
Thank you for your kind support and advices for my ILR application.
My situation - HSMP granted in Jan 2006; Entry clearance on 1st march 2006 (visa issued for 1year); FLR extension for 4 years in feb 2007 (HSMP JR). My wife joined with me in may 2008.
I had booked my ILR family appointment through online, luckily got appointment on 13th saturday at 8:30am in Croydon
I had reached to Croydon at 7:00am. Good parking place just infront of Home office.
1. At 7:40 am I entered into home office
2. At 8:00 am I was made to go through Air port style security check
3. They had issued one token number to me in ground floor, after initial checking of my supproting documents (Application form, bank statements)
4. I went to 1st floor to pay fee - at 8:15 am
5. Then I went to 2nd floor for our case worker interview. When called I went to allocated desk (8:20 am)
6. Following were the list of documents I had produced in front of caseworker,
- Application form, token number
- My pasport and My wife passport
- 3months bank statements, Just front statement pages
- 3 months pay slips
- Employer letter, with the details of my business trips (I am away from UK for in total 140days, in that 14 days were on business)
- 3 P60s (case worker had took only my last 2008 - 2009 P60)
7. Case worker told to wait for some time for his decision
8. After 10 mins (At 8:40 am), case worker pleased to inform that he is going to issue ILR for me and for my wife and he also informed me to collect our passports on 1st floor in 1hr
9. I had spent 2 hours in shopping center (just before home office), got back at 10:25 am. our passports were ready for pickup with permanent resident leaflets
my experience was very pleasent & all the home office people were polite and helpful.
Hope my experience helps you.....Thank you
