Appeal case for my husband

Post by Halima » Fri Feb 19, 2010 10:16 pm

Hi,
I am new on this site. I always visit this site and see alot of people help and answer everyones questions.

I need some information as i have a court hearing on the 22 feb 2010. I have applied for my husbands visa and got rejected, i then appealed and at the same time submitted a new case which also got rejected.

I am self employed and own a take away. The ECO rejected the case because of 2 reasons.

1. They think i havent paid tax. They said that i have a copy of the cheque to show i have paid it but i didnt show i have paid it in my business bank account.

2. I don't have enough room in my house.

My solicitor has got all my case ready and the reasons for rejection are false.

I just wanted some help as to what types of questions am i most likely to be asked?

Sorry for such a long story, but i thought i let you know of the full story.

Hope to hear some replies and help soon

Thanks

You will be questioned primarily on the reasons that you were refused on in the first place. Therefore as far as your accommodation is concerned, take a report ( if you already havent sent one before) that you have sufficient room and maybe get something from HMRC showing that you have paid tax from your self employed business.

Your solicitor will be doing most of teh talking, so I wouldnt worry to much

I have made a new up to date report to show that i have sufficient room in my house. And my solicitor has made a bundle and posted it to the court to show everything.

What my solicitor has done is asked for my HMRC papers and posted it off.

Thanks alot for your info, i feel sooo much better. I was really nervous.
I appreciate it that you took the time out to answer my question.
