ILR in UK application - student spouse!?HELP

I'm UK citizen and currently a student. My husband is an oversea. he already got a 2 years limited visa and we are thinking of applying to indefinite leave to remain. one of the conditions we have to meet in order to apply for this visa is:
â– both of you can support yourselves and any dependants without needing public funds
he's got a full time job and it is enough to pay for our food and flat rent.
However as our income is low due to my current unemployment i am eligible for student grant and university bursary.
Can those financial supports prevent us from getting an indefinite leave to remain?? does educational support count as public fund?[/b]
