Student Visitor Visa - Evidence of intention to leave the UK

Post by sw1085 » Fri Feb 19, 2010 8:46 pm

Hello everyone, i hope someone can assist me with this small query.

My boyfriend is applying for a student visitors visa to the UK so that he can study English and spend time with me and see the UK culture for 5 months.

He is unemployed and is not a student back home in Venezuela.

We understand Venezuela is a non-visa country for the UK and he could get a SVV stamp at the border but we want to play it safe by applying in advance of him coming here.

He will of course leave the UK before expiry of the six month visa but we are struggling to prove "intention to leave".

I have detailed in a letter of support to the ECO what the nature of relationship is and stated that we are in the first formative year of a relationship. Honesty is the best policy!

Can anyone help with some suggestions on what can be used as evidence to link family and financial ties back to his home country?

He is commited to paying rent on his shared apartment for another 9 months and has a deposit lodged with his landlord. He also has a whole family back home whom he is very close to.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance to anyone who could help.

Similar to visitors to the USA, he should show strong ties to his country.
