Sorry I had to jumped here again. It seems that delay in process because of shortage of case worker.

I was informed by one of the ex case worker that cases are alloted as per first letter of surname to case worker.

I mean that surname starts with A handle by one case worker and B for another. Now there is a luck if your case worker is slow in processing a case that might delay others

Yes I did call....

I dont know why but I can't stop myself, I am so impatient.'

I called around 3:00pm. The most soft spoken lady among all those who have been taking my calls told me that the case was with the case worker which was allocated on 18th of Feb..''

It's been 6 days that the case is with the case worker now. I have observed that once the case is with the case worker, in rare circumstances it takes more than 2 weeks. Hence 1 week has passed. Lets hope I have some news next week. Fingers crossed !

Regards,

This is confirmed that HO definitely works (perhaps overtime) on saturdays and sundays.

The council (NCS) where I submitted my documents confirmed the possibility for a sunday appointment for private ceremony. BTW its money coming in, council has nothing to loose.
Jerryanderson wrote:Sorry it was 15 Date of submitting the application
the other dates are correct

Are you sure the dates are right? Because 17th and 24th January falls on Sunday. Does the NCS opens on Sundays? From when Public services are open on Sundays?

Eskar, This is correct. My case was still awaiting allocation until last Friday. But today the lady told me the case was with the worker since 18th.

This all depends on the telephone advisor what he/she wants to tell you. First of all you cannot guarantee what they are saying is correct unless its the verdict that the decision has been taken and secondly you have no means to counter check the information they provide you.

just wondering as you know more than me i read in somewhere here that making phone call make you file complicated to caseworker. there is thread where people advised some guy aplied for ilr on base long stay 14 yr , not make phone call. is it true from any point of view.

I will second Safwan.

Phoen calls are taken by altogether a different department who only have a limited access to the database. Your phone call does not at all obstruct with the caseworking.

Congrats Bani.

a quick question though, did you intentionally delay the ceremony date or was the only date available with your local council ?

Can anyone guide me on first passport applications - Section 4, where it states that the applicant needs to provide their grandparents' name, date of birth, place of birth and date of marriage.

Can't possibly get all of this information for myself or my wife.

Is there any other thread where this has been discussed?

Regards - Spartac.

if you don't have all the info relating to your grandparents, write everything you know in a separate sheet of paper and explain why you don't have all the info.

this is not a major issue and you shouldn't worry.
