Part time Msc. Course!

Post by raghava39@rediffmail.com » Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:44 am

Dear all,

I am not sure whether I should post this under Tier-4 or Tier-1. I have a HSMP Tier-I visa valid till March 2012. I am planning to search for a job by moving to UK. Meanwhile I have obtained admission in one of the universities in UK. I thought it would be better to convert this to part time and study as well as work (Yet to search any job). If somebody has prior experience having done on the same lines, please share it with me.

Regards
Raghavendran G

You may hold more than one valid entry clearances in your passport, but you may enter UK on the basis of just one. While you are in UK, conditions attached to the stamped visa (on which you chose to enter UK) will apply.
ECB10.5 Applying for another visa but in a different category wrote: An applicant may hold more than one valid entry clearance, for example a regular traveller already holding a longer period multiple visit visa can be issued with a visa for another purpose. When issuing a second visa, the applicant should be advised to explain to the Immigration Officer on arrival in which capacity he/she is seeking entry to the UK.

Thanks for the reply. I have one last query. With Tier-I and Tier-IV Visas , I enter UK (Entry clearance on Tier-I) and since I have got admission in one of the Universities can I switch over to this visa (Tier-IV) without the need to leave and re-enter through the other visa. Please let me know if you are aware of any other procedures for the same

Thanks
