Explaination of Large Deposits

Post by buttercup88 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 1:59 pm

For our letter to the Embassy we're including this explaination of several large deposits and debits we've made in the last three months.

The first part is on why we dont have regular transactions in the accout.
The second is explaining the debits/deposits.

I know it's a hassle but could anyone of you look over it and see if there are any holes I need to fix?
THANK YOU!!!

Evidence of Maintenance
(1) Bank statements (3 months) from: ********** and ******** totalling about £28,000

Current Employment:
*...s current employment at ............is contacted through the ............., based in the UK. Because of this, ....... pays UK taxes and his payslips are written in pounds, not euros. Although his pay is officially in pounds, .................has been converting his pay into euros and paying him in cash (as this is easier for us and less costly than converting money every month).
Due to this and the fact that we do not have a bank account in....., we have had to deposit the savings in person. This is the reason the bank statement shows an in-person deposit on ............in the amount of £......... . We have yet to make another savings deposit since we haven’t been back to the UK.

Notes of Deposits and Debits:
*There was also another deposit in the amount of £ from .............bank account. We have included his atm card and bank account card in the application to show that this was from his personal account while working in ........
*The debit of £.... is the deposit for our flat in ............
*The deposit of £ is from ................account. The money from this account was long-term saving accumulated since 2000.
This sum of money was moved to make the money more easily accessible. Also, he has put £.............of this money into his ISA account on / /.

(2) Three ISA Investment Statements.
(3) Pay slips (3 months): payment was converted into cash in euros for easy accessibility on our part.
(4) Current job contracts in ()
(5) ...s CV + photocopies of professional certificates
(6) ...s CV + photocopies of professional certificates
(7) Job adverts: showing availability of work and that we are qualified in our chosen field

Whenever I've had to explain large deposits I usually blame it on the curry the night before....

Some stain remover, hot wash and extra conditioner and my underpants are as good as new or at worst, only slightly soiled.
