SET(M) application form-Home & finance section question?

I am a British citizen from birth and my wife of 6 years is a foreign national. She is just about to complete her 2 year qualifying period and we are applying for her ILR on a SET(M) application. We have everything in place as regards documentation to provide the HO proof of marriage, co-habitation, finance etc, but there's one thing I'm not too sure about on the application form? :?:

Under section 7-Home & finances, question 7.4 asks "is your partner (that's me) working in the UK- Yes or No" and if so what is the monthly pay after tax/deductions etc.
I don't work in the UK but do work abroad and still live here permanently, so do I answer NO to this question but still put down my monthly salary? I have bank statements & payslips to back up the regular salary payments into my bank. It appears to mean that only if I work in the UK I am required to append the monthly salary amount on the application form?
Anybody else have this same dilemma with regard to working out of the UK? :?

its bit tricky situation. If you dont work in uk than there will be a problem on co-habitation rule ( husband and wife must live together ).
May be mods can give you better opinion or someone in same dilemma.

giz, can you explain more, about your outside-the-UK employment?

Tim555, we need more information. After all the OP might be living in Northern Ireland, and cross the border to the Republic of Ireland to work, returning home every day.

AIUI, you're being paid salary in the UK, you pay UK income tax, pay NI contributions - so you're working in the UK. Physical location of the posting isn't of importance here.

When she was granted spouse visa ....you were working uk or outside uk??

Because its all about supporting family ( Living Together) paying bills and also paying income and NI tax in UK.

Please Let us know more about you so we can suggest someting maybe

I have been working outside UK for 19yrs and that's how I met my wife. I'm a British resident who doesn't work in the UK, there must be more like me?
