Please help, need to sponsor Parents visitor visa

Post by rajkumarpatel » Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:30 pm

Hi All,
I am on UK workpermit (now tier 2 general) and I have very good credit history over here. I would like to sponsor my Parents trip which will be of 4-5 weeks upto max. Can you please clarify my below queries:
1.) I am living in a 1 bed flat, so will it be issue sponsoring their stay at my place. If yes, then what should I do?
2.) My parents are retired and own their home in India. To show that they have ties, what all they can show apart from the property? or is it required etal?
3.) Do my parent require to show a good bank balance and if yes how much it should be in approximate? If I transfer the same amount to their account, then for how many months they should maintain that balance before applying for Visa?
4.) The spelling of my mother's name is different in my passport and in my parents passport. Will this gonna be a problem or not? if Yes, then should I get my passport updated with the correct spelling here in London (Indian embassy)? Do they provide such service in Indian consulate?
5.) Can you please provide a list of doc's that I need to provide for their application? Can I do it on my own or do I need to see a immigration solicitor to prepare the sponsorship documents?

Thanking you all in advance...
