Where does it say that you have to have continuous work experience? As long as you have at least 1 year of expereince in one of the 38 occupations, you are ok. Of course, you still would need to have at least 67 points to qualify.Rajvar2008 wrote:Hi all,
I have a doubt about the Work Experience requirement for the Canadian Federal Skilled Worker immigration.
The requirement mentions at least 1 year of Full time "Continuous" paid work experience or its equivalent in part time work within the past 10 years.
this is my situation
2007 - 1 year of experience in a role unrelated to the skilled occupation i want to apply with
2008 - 6 months of experience in a related occupation
2009 - present - 6 months of experience in a related occupation
Do i meet the minimum work experience requirement?
Would appreciate your advise.
Thanks
Please provide the link to where you got that from. Its always helpful to provide as much information as possoble for someone to be able to answer your questions.Rajvar2008 wrote:Hi Ray,
Thanks for your reply.
I pulled this from the Canadian immigration site.
Category 1: For persons in an occupation which corresponds to the list of occupations identified in the Ministerial Instructions and have evidence of one year of continuous full-time (or full-time equivalent) experience in that occupation;
Could you please explain what "continuous" means as used above.
