Changing Employment

Post by visaforv10 » Fri Mar 12, 2010 8:13 pm

Hello,

I am working in the UK on work permit (now known as Tier 2 General) for last 2 years.
I am going to change my current employer very soon. I have some queries regarding my visa status:

1. As I understand, I will need to apply under Tier 2 General PBS. I am qualified under the PBS calculator. How long it will take my new employer to provide me certificate of sponsorship?

2. My husband works on a spousal visa (work authorization based on my work permit). As I will change my work permit, do we have to carry out any procedure for his visa status or will it remain same?

Best Regards

Thanks for the response.

To clarify my question further, when I make my application for Tier 2 General, do I need to make a seperate appilcation for my spouse as a dependent? Do I need to send his passport as well?

Best Regards

Thanks for the clarrification.

As I will be changing employment, I understand that It will be treated as a new application. In this case, do I have to apply from Foreign Nationals ID card?

If yes, then should I apply it before I apply for my visa?
