Post by ZS40243 » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:02 am

is it necessary for dependants to make application at the same.
if i want to fill application for dependant at a latter stage do I still need to give marriage certificate?

no it's not necessary. you can apply alone
for the main applicant marriage certificate is sometimes used as a proof of change of name (for example if a female applicant had a change of name because of getting married she could use it) otherwise no

Not necessary to apply together. But if you apply together, the fee for your dependant is only £50. But if the dependant applies separately then the fee is 465 (postal) and 665 (In-person). The mentioned fee is changing from 6th April.

Sorry for assuming things.

No, if your are applying outside UK, you will have to pay the full fee regardless of applying together or not.

My apologies.
