Advice Required

Post by Edin » Sat Feb 04, 2006 7:04 pm

Hi All,

I need an advice from you guys about my case.

I got admitted into a 2 yrs Master program in University of Edinburgh in 2004. As part of the program I spent 1st yr in Edinburgh and now spending the 2nd year in Germany. During my 1st year, I fulfilled all the requirements of the Master program at University of Edinburgh and got the Masters degree from them in September 2005. However as part of the agreement I have to spend 1 year in Germany as well (Spe 2005- Aug 2006).

Now I want to apply for HSMP before mid March as I will be over 28 after that. Before joining Edinburgh I worked for 5 yrs in the IT industry. According to my point calculation I am eligible for HSMP based on Job experience, Salary I was getting before becoming a student and Education.

I would like to know can I apply for HSMP while I am studying here in Germany? Moreover, As I already had a MS degree from Edinburgh so what if I won´t mention in my HSMP application about the compulsion of spending 2nd year in Germany.

If you mean, is it possible to apply for HSMP while outside the UK, then clearly the answer is yes.

Wouldn't a better explanation be that you have not yet completed your current Masters Degree course, so have can't say that you have got that degree?
