Tier 1 (General) Policy Guidance Queries

Post by Saga » Wed Mar 17, 2010 1:49 pm

1.
66. the specified documentary evidence of the applicant’s age has been supplied
Whats evidence required for applicant's age ? Policy guidance doesnt seem to mention it but pt. 66 specifies it. Isn't passport enough ?

2. I want to include the salary deposit dates of 20th April '09 and 20th March '10 in my claim period.

Which dates should I mention -
1st April '09 to 20th March '10 OR
20th April '09 to 20th March '10 ?

Is the later 12 or 11 months? I am paid for every 20th for that month.

3. Do monthly variations in salary amount credited need explaination ?

4. My name is ABC on all documents but my degree has ABCD. Would this be an issue or do I need an extra explaination ?

5. The PBS calculator says 'Masters' but my degree is 'Masters by Research' . Theres no such option. Would it be an issue ?

Many Thanks !

Hi,

1. Passport is enough if it has your date of birth in it.
2. 21st March, 2009 to 20th March, 2010
3. If the Net salary in payslip and amount credited in bank account is same then no need of any further explanation
4. Seniors can answer this question well
5. Same as point 4.

Thanks,
Dev

Hi,

1. It's better to show DL or DOB certificate for age proof.

2. 1st March 2009 to 28th Feb 2010(12 months for past earnings)

Seniors can answer remaining questions

Thanks

Passport is the best option to prove age.

72. Paragraph 245AA of the Immigration Rules states that we will only award points when an applicant provides the specified evidence that he/she meets the requirements for this category. The specified documents are as follows:

i) Current valid original passport/travel document. Where an applicant is unable to submit their current original passport/travel document at the time of the application, full reasons must be provided under the ‘Passport Information’ section of the application form. Where the passport has been lost or stolen a police crime report/number must be provided along with details of the police station the loss was reported to and the date it was reported.
The only exceptional circumstances in which alternative specified documents may be provided are where the applicant’s current passport/travel document has been:
Lost;
Stolen;
Expired and returned to issuing Government;
Submitted to another department of the Agency.

21st March, 2009 to 20th March, 2010
1st March 2009 to 28th Feb 2010
Confusing ! :?

Do I claim from the salary paid date or from the start of the month for which the salary is paid ?

My understanding is 1st April '09 to 28th March (As I will apply on 29th! )

Please can someone clarify this !

You have to put the dates of your EARNINGS PERIOD not the date Salary is deposited in ur bank..

if you received April 09 salary on 20th April.. you March 2010 salary on 20th March.. your Earnign period is 1st April 2009 - 31st March 2010...
