DEPENDENTS HSMP VISA EXTENSION APPROVAL

Post by sinan86 » Sun Feb 12, 2006 6:10 pm

My one year HSM Visa is expiring on April 5, 2006. I am planning to apply
for 3 years extension by April 20. One of my son who entered UK with me
as dependent will be 18 years on April 7 i.e 2 days after expiry of 1 year visa. He is studying A level and is completely dependent on me . Will he get 3 years extension with me ?

Will appreciate an early response.

Do you really mean "April 20"? After the current visa expires? If not, when do you plan to apply?

FLR applications sent even 2 months before the expiry of the visa are excepted. Therefore you could sent in your application for extension right away. Also at the time of the extension, your son will still be your dependent as he will be below 18 years of age. The HO should also give him extension as your dependent.

On that basis I concur with the comment from MWazir. Your son should get his ILR at the same time as you get yours.
