The status to "Decision Made" usually only changes when they have made the decision on your application to either give you the visa or not, and usually happens close to or after the passport has been requested (unless its a refusal).dark_sun wrote:I've applied for Canadian permanent residency back in 2006, and they've accepted my application and mailed me back my file number and a letter stating that they've started processing my application starting from May 1st, 2007.
Back in September 2006, CIC used to accept the PR application with the CAN $550 processing fee without any supporting documents, and whenever I checked online my status was "In Process" since then... Only yesterday it changed to "Decision Made".
Since May 1st, 2007 they've never contacted me about submitting new papers or updating my status or anything, so how come a decision has been made?
Does this mean that they'll start asking me to submit all the needed papers? Language ability proof, Education, Medical Test, and Police Certifications? or what?
Or am I simply rejected?
I just need some feedback from someone who has applied during that timeline with these old rules where you only submit supporting documentation whenever you're asked only.
Many Thanks.
From what I understand, they will re-send the request to you again and will give you time to gather your documents (maybe not as much time as the first request, usually around 2-3 months). So, yes, you should be ok. But you should email or call them to check.dark_sun wrote:Thanks a lot Ray... Now you got me really worried.
Suppose I did not receive any mail from CIC, can this be fixed? or is it done for good?
There have been a few of these lately, from the 2006/2007 applicants. CHC seem to be giving a second chance to submit docs.raymasa2 wrote:dark_sun wrote: It is possible that they sent you a request for additional information, which you may not have received. I would suggest that you send them a case specific enquiry asking them the status of the application and letting them know that you have not heard anything from them since May 1st, 2007.
If you applied at the London CHC, there is a case specific enquiry form on the London CHC web site. If you applied at another CHC, check their web site to see if there is a form.
