Available funds for spouse application

Post by charl » Wed Mar 31, 2010 12:57 pm

Is £100 per week (£400) a month after expenses such as rent, bills, student loan repayments or do I need to show £400 left in my bank after everything i.e. petrol expenses, leisure activites etc?

You only need to include rent, council tax (if applicable) and your loan repayments....not food or bills or any other outoings.

To be precise, it is £437 per month NOT £400 (at £100.95 per week).

By the way there will be benefit changes from April 2010 and the new income support level (quick search on the net) will be £102.75 per week (£445 per month).
