Unmarried Partners Visa is Refused!

Post by wilma » Thu Feb 16, 2006 12:37 pm

I am a UK citizen been settled in uk for 9 years and my boyfriend (partner) is from South Africa. We've been staying together for 3 years and have everything to prove that........... meeting the requirements of the unmarried partners visa.

It's come as a great shock to both of us as the application for the unmarried partners visa has been refused on the grounds that we have not provided enough evidence to show our relationship is to a level akin to marriage?? How?? When is a relationship akin to marriage? Please help! We are going to appeal the decision but need advice!! Can anyone help?
