Taxable earnings are only considered by the HO...
I was with Umbrella comapny and used to run my payroll, claim expenses( expenses like food, travelling,phone etc that are no mentioned in my contract) every week, but later I realised that HO will not consider this amount I'm claiming every week as expenses as they were treated as reimbursment expenses.

Now, I started trading thru my own limited company and everything is fine.

So, the bottom line is only TAXABLE EARNINGS as only considered by HO.
